I installed Helpers and the activation page said Piklist was deactivated. I cannot access the plugins page or pretty much anywhere in the dashboard to uninstall, since I am thrown to white screen that says:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_strtolower() in /home/mysitename/public_html/wp-content/plugins/piklist/includes/class-piklist.php on line 1226

I am stuck, not able to uninstall and cant do anything really. Have no idea what to do.

If you still have filesystem access through your host, possibly through FTP, you can rename “piklist” to something like “piklist-old” in wp-content/plugins/ to deactivate it.

As for why you are experiencing this issue, it looks like your hosting environment is missing the PHP “mbstring” Multibyte extension. Here is some more information about installing it: http://www.php.net/manual/en/mbstring.installation.php

If you do not control your hosting platform, I suggest opening a ticket with your host and requesting they install the mbstring extension.

Thank you very much for your help, I have the access to fix this and also getting support from the service provider to enable the mbstring extension.
